Known as "Automotive urea national standard" of gb29518-2013 "diesel engine nitrogen oxide reducer urea aqueous solution (AUS32)" by the Aqsiq and the National Commission issued on May 7, 2013, July 1, 2013 implementation. This standard is proposed by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, by the National petroleum products and Lubricants Standardization Technical Committee of Petroleum Fuel and lubricants Sub-Technical committee, the drafting units include Sinopec Sales Co., Ltd. North China branch, China Environmental Science Research Institute, Sinopec Lubricants Branch, PetroChina Sales branch, CNPC Lanzhou Lubricant Research and Development Center,

Sichuan Mei Fung Chemical and other units.

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, identification, technical requirements and test methods, inspection rules, markings, packaging, transportation and storage of the nitrogen oxide reductant-urea aqueous solution (AUS32) for diesel engines, and recommends the filling interface of the product. This standard stipulates that the urea aqueous solution (AUS32) refers to the industrial production of urea, ammonia and water containing only trace, without aldehydes and other substances (such as anti-caking agent), free of sulfur and sulfide, chlorides, nitrates and other compounds.

AUS32 Filling pumps and containers conforming to this standard shall have the following markings: aus32gb29518.

This standard also said, in order to avoid AUS32 contamination and corrosion of containers, pipes, valves, connectors, gaskets, etc., in the handling, transportation, storage and sampling of all aspects to ensure that the AUS32 and direct contact with the material compatible. Before, some cities to (or advance) the implementation of the heavy-duty diesel vehicle state Ⅳ standards, the introduction of different versions of the local standards for automotive urea, such as Beijing, Shanghai and other places; in April 2013, the Chinese Society of Automobile Engineering also issued the "Automotive Urea Solution Technical Specification" prepared by the organization.

Now the national standard version gb29518-2013 release implementation, will become the domestic unified standards. The Ministry of Environmental Protection originally issued a national heavy, light diesel vehicle sales since July 1, 2013 implementation of the national Ⅳ Standard, but the national standard version of "Automotive Urea standards" release implementation of the time lag significantly, more importantly, the national Ⅳ diesel oil has not been fully available in the country, so the nationwide sales of diesel vehicles to postpone the implementation of the country Ⅳ become inevitable.
