What is AdBlue®(Urea Solution)?

AdBlue®(Urea Solution) is a odorless and colorless transparent solution,It is synthesized from 32.5% Automotive Grade Urea and 67.5% deionized water. It is stored in a dedicated AdBlue® storage tank on the vehicle, where it mixes with exhaust gas and enters the SCR system, where NOx (nitrogen oxides) is converted and reduced to harmless nitrogen and water.

What is NOx (nitrogen oxides)?

AdBlue®(Urea Solution) is used to treat nitrogen oxides,and What is NOx (nitrogen oxides)?

NOx (nitrogen oxides) refer to the oxides of nitrogen, which are common atmospheric pollutants and one of the main components of acid rain.

How are nitrogen oxides (NOx) produced?

The main sources of nitrogen oxides (NOx) are pollution caused by general industrial activities, vehicles and aircraft using engines, and the combustion of fossil fuels. Diesel vehicles account for the largest proportion of pollution.

Why do we need to use AdBlue® to treat nitrogen oxides?

Long term exposure to nitrogen oxides (NOx) can cause chronic pharyngitis, chronic bronchitis, as well as varying degrees of neurasthenia syndrome and tooth erosion.

In addition, it can also induce lung cell carcinogenesis; Impaired lung development in children;

The acid rain formed can cause baldness.

So, since nitrogen oxides have so many hazards, for the sake of human health, we use AdBlue®(urea solution) to treat the nitrogen oxides in vehicle exhaust.
